Mahira Khan has once again talked about ‘fairness complex’ publicly and said that she never endorsed a skin lightening product.

On Friday, Khan came in interaction with BBC Asia Network correspondent Haroon Rashid on Twitter who dropped a question asking about any Bollywood/Pakistani stars who have never endorsed a ‘skin lightening product’.

“This is a genuine question – can you name me Bollywood/Pakistani stars who have never endorsed a skin lightening product?” he asked.

In reply, the actress said “Been refusing ever since I was a VJ till now. Never endorsed a skin lightening product.”

This was not the end of this brief conversation on Twitter as Rashid dropped another question related to this: “Another question – some stars who endorsed skin lightening products have since apologised for their ignorance/lack of knowledge at the time. Their names/photos are still being shared. If one has acknowledged ones mistake – should they still be used as examples in bad light?” he asked.

Khan replied: “No they should not be used as examples in a bad light. We are quick to cancel, not to converse.”

On the other hand, other Pakistani actresses including Hareem Farooq, Sanam Saeed, and Ayesha Omar also came forward to tell that they never endorsed a ‘skin lightening product’.

Momina Mustehsan disclosed that she has always turned down all fairness product endorsements as skin color has nothing to do with beauty of a person.
