Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has died at the age of 53 on Wednesday after battling with an endocrine tumor, rare cancer for the last two years.
The departure of one of the greatest Indian actors made people saddened across the world. His fans and people from around the world rushed to social media to express grief. Pakistani actors also paid tribute to the versatile actor and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
Mahira Khan shared a clip from Khan’s Hollywood film and prayed for his soul to rest in greatness and peace.
Saba Qamar recalled the memories with Khan from the sets of ‘Hindi Medium’. She expressed extreme sadness on his departure.
Adnan Siddiqui went back to some fond memories with Khan. Siddiqui praised him for his kindness and perfection as an actor. He also revealed about their last meeting in London when Khan was under treatment for cancer.
“I met him in London when he was under treatment. He said to me ‘Adnan, I’ll be fine very soon and I’ll be back. InshAllah’. Who knew today, I would be penning this note,” Siddiqui wrote.
Hajra Yamin, Minal Khan, Sajal Aly, Zara Noor Abbas, Meera, Imran Abbas, and many other Pakistani actors expressed sadness on Khan’s death.
It must be noted here that Khan, in 2018, revealed that he was suffering through neuroendocrine cancer. He moved to the UK for treatment and later on came back to India. On Tuesday, he was admitted to a local hospital in Mumbai after suffering through colon infection.
The 53-years-old late actor proved his mettle in Bollywood and Hollywood. His hits from Bollywood include Hindi Medium, Billu Barber, Piku, Madaari. His latest film ‘Angrezi Medium’ was released earlier this year in March.
