PCB’s new chairman to be selected on September 13

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s Board of Governors (BoG) will elect the new chairman of cricket in a meeting on September 13 in Lahore.

The PCB’s media department informed that the Election Commissioner of PCB, Justice (retd) Sheikh Azmat Saeed has called a BoG meeting on September 13 to elect the new chairman.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has nominated former Test cricketer Ramiz Raja and Asad Ali Khan for the chairmanship in a notification released by the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) on Friday.

Reportedly, Raja is a strong candidate to become PCB chairman after Ehsan Mani refused to get an extension in his tenure. The former cricket had already accepted the premier’s offer to become the chairman of cricket in the country.
