Much to everyone’s surprise, Syra Yousuf and Shahroz Sabzwari just dropped an official announcement along with a new poster for their upcoming film, Babylicious.

The ex-spouses apparently teamed up for this film way before their divorce, which was finalised in 2020. Taking to Instagram, Syra shared the poster along with more details in a brief caption where she mentioned it’s been more than a decade since they partnered up for this project.

“This February 2023, it will be 12 years since we became attached to this film. So very excited for you all to see it! Presenting the first look of our new movie BABYLICIOUS,” she wrote.

Shahroz also took to social media to announce how they were just waiting for Valentine’s Day to be close to make the official announcement. “Yes, guys. It’s releasing. We were just waiting for Valentine’s to come around. Presenting the first look of our new movie BABYLICIOUS,” he wrote.

The announcement, however, has evoked all sorts of mixed emotions in the audience. Many netizens called Syra a ‘sellout’ for partnering up with her ex-spouse or even promoting the film after her divorce.

Many poked fun at the relationship dynamic.

While a bunch of people defended the fact that the film was shot before the couple got divorced, and how Syra is a true professional for not letting personal life get in the way of her work.

And of course, the name stands to be one of the biggest concerns.

Either way, looks like we’ll have to wait till Valentine’s Day of 2023 to see how the film will perform. Keep an eye on this space for more updates.
