Fast bowler Wahab Riaz hasn’t planned yet to make a comeback in Test cricket. He still wants to focus more on white-ball cricket.
Speaking to Geo News, Wahab showed no intent to return to Test cricket at this point in time. “Currently, I don’t have any plans to once again play Test cricket. [But], yes, as soon as I make up my mind to play Test cricket, I will inform the board about my availability,” he said.
Talking about being left out from the central contracts’ list, Wahab keeps ‘playing for the country’ as the top priority. “Central Contracts doesn’t matter for me. Playing for my country is the biggest thing I have achieved in life and I am happy to continue playing,” he concluded.
It must be noted here that Wahab took rest from Test cricket for an indefinite period in 2019. Just a few days before, Mohammad Amir took retirement from Test cricket. Both cricketers had faced a lot of criticism for their decision.
