In April this year, we reported that Urdu1 was going to make a drama serial on late Qandeel Baloch and casted Lahore Se Aagey lead girl Saba Qamar in lead role. A month later, they confirmed the news by revealing some posters of Qamar carrying Baloch’s look. And just yesterday, they have also released the first look of drama serial named Baaghi.

Baaghi is a story of small town girl who had bigs dreams and ambitions. She was held back by her parents from getting education and later on, she was mistreated by her husband. In pursue of attaining her goals and supporting her family, she moved to the city. She faced many hardships and rejections.

Left with no other option, she set out to create a name of herself on social media. When misguided, she ended up putting controversial videos on her Facebook page to gain attention. The outcome of which wasn’t pleasant and she started receiving huge criticism. received nationwide criticism. Who knew that it would lead to unjustified death to her.
The cast of the venture titled Baaghi also includes Sarmad Khoosat, Ali Kazmi, Mani, Khalid Malik and Osman Khalid Butt. The story has been written by Shazia Khan, screenplay by Umera Ahmed while Farooq Rind has taken the charge of direction.
