Former Test cricketer Ramiz Raja is a strong candidate to become the new chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after Ehsan Mani’s three-year tenure ends on September 4.
While citing sources, local news channels reported that Prime Minister Imran Khan will nominate Raja and former Board of Governors (BoG) member Jawad Sajid for the next chairmanship of PCB.
A voting process will be conducted involving the BoG members to appoint a new chairman of the cricket board. However, reports claim that PM Khan is in favor of Raja taking charge of PCB.
Mani became PCB chairman soon after Imran Khan took charge of the Prime Minister’s office in 2018 after his party won the General Elections.
