‘I think feminists were right’ Khalil reacts on Minar-e-Pakistan incident

Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar said he realized that feminists were right after watching the videos of 400 men assaulting a single woman outside Minar-e-Pakistan.

While reacting to the incident, Khalil spoke to a news channel in which he accepted that Feminists were right that women in Pakistan are not safe.

“I feel ashamed to be a part of this society where 400 men assault a woman like dogs and people blame the victim,” he bashed. “Now, I think feminists were right that women are not safe here and I should accept it,” he said.

Mere Paas Tum Ho writer held government and security agencies responsible for this incident. “This is not negligence, it’s shamelessness. Where was the security when it all happened that too at a public place like Minar-e-Pakistan on Independence Day? It’s a big failure,” he concluded.

Ayesha Akram, a TikToker, was harassed, tortured, and assaulted at Minar-e-Pakistan by 400 men on August 14. The videos of the incident went viral on social media two days after the incident took place and it sparked outrage in the country.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar took notice of the event and an FIR was registered against 400 unknown men. Police along with FIA trying to trace people from the video.
