In an interview with BBC Urdu, Hareem Farooq confessed that she wasn’t a die-hard sports fan. Her emotional attachment to cricket, which she developed from watching games with her father, highlighted the influence the sport can have on interpersonal relationships and sense of pride in one’s country.
She recalled exciting times while yelling out cricket terminology as if she were a seasoned pundit, replicating the passion that cricket sparks in many people.
