Fawad Alam finally gets a turning point in his career as he scored his third Test hundred, a maiden at home against South Africa.

Making his comeback in the national team after 10 years, Fawad suffered in England but in New Zealand, he broke shackles and scored his second Test hundred. Less than a month after that century, Fawad scored his third, this time in his hometown where he has scored over 2300 First-Class runs.

His crucial 109-runs knock at pressure situation worked for Pakistan as they finished Day 2 at 308-8 after resuming at 33-4.

This eye-catching knock gathered deserving praise for him on Twitter where people not only congratulated him but pointed out how his 10 years were wasted by previous selectors.

It must be noted here that Fawad made his Test debut against Sri Lanka in 2009. He was given chance only in three Tests despite scoring a hundred on debut. Later on, he was ignored for several years even after he performed continuously in domestic cricket.

He made his comeback in the national team in 2019 against Sri Lanka but didn’t get a chance there. Against England in 2020, he got a chance in two Tests but was failed to score big.
