This last week, mainstream news media reported that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) sealed houses of Pakistani films and TV actresses Saba Qamar and Noor Bukhari as they failed to pay their taxes. Quoting FBR spokesperson, a report claimed that numerous notices were sent to actresses but both of them did not send any reply, leaving the authority with no other option but to seal their houses.
An ARY News report claimed that Qamar and Bukhari were defaulters on tax worth Rs3.4 million and 1.5 million respectively.
Lahore Se Aagey actress Saba Qamar firstly denied all such reports on news media and then took her Instagram to give a detailed version. The actress wrote that she was very disappointed that channels were circulating news without finding the truth.

“Recently, the news about my house being sealed has been circulating so let me take this opportunity to clear all these rumours based on nothing but lies. My house has not been sealed, neither has my bank account. I’m a tax filer,” she clarified.
“It is very disappointing that channels are circulating such news without finding out the truth. These channels have no credibility as they have been spreading such rumours,” she complained. “All these channels have been publicizing my home address without my permission and it is just disgusting how a person’s privacy can be disrespected like this, she added.
The actress also urged not to fall for anything and everything that comes on the news without knowing the truth. “All I can understand at this moment is that one is not even safe in their own house. So, we should object to what’s wrong and not fall for anything and everything that comes on the news without knowing the truth. So my humble request is to Live and let live!,” she emphasized.
