A Lahore court rejected exemption from personal appearance requests from Ali Gul Pir and Iffat Omar in a defamation case filed by Ali Zafar against Meesha Shafi and other suspects.
Magistrate Yousaf Abdul Rehman rejected the requests from the suspects and issued a bailable arrest warrant for Iffat and a non-bailable arrest warrant for Pir.
While reacting to the issued arrest warrant, Pir wrote on Twitter, “No matter how many warrants I get, I’m not apologizing for a joke I made 3 years back. I’m gonna fight it. Any wannabe k-pop singing midlife crisis cockstar can try his best, you will only get what you deserve. End of your already dying career by the truth.”
