Pakistani actors including Mahira Khan, Sajal Aly, Ahad Raza Mir, and Sheryar Munawar attended Filmfare Middle East where they reunited with Indian actors.
Mahira was seen taking pictures with Nawazuddin Siddiqui whom he worked in her only Indian film, Raees.
After receiving the high achievers award, Mahira expressed her feelings of reuniting the former colleagues.
“What is lovely about being here is that truly, truly, art is beyond borders. I say this all the time. When I come here, I stand here wearing my country’s flag on my back, but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate all the other people here, who I have admired so much, I look at and get inspired. So, this is for art and art alone, and for my country,” she was quoted saying.
It must be noted here that Mahira’s acting in Raees opposite Shahrukh Khan was highly lauded by Indians.
