Mohammad Hafeez said he will not make any decision related to his retirement according to the advice of people out there.

Addressing to repetitive questions related to his retirement, Hafeez said that his aim is to play this year’s T20 World Cup. “I had decided to take retirement after playing this year’s T20 World Cup. If this year’s mega-event doesn’t take place, I will maintain myself to play the tournament whenever it takes place,” said Hafeez.

“Btw, I haven’t played cricket to fulfill anyone’s desires. Everyone has the right to express their opinion. I have justified my selection in the last 17-18 years with performances and I don’t think I need to give an answer to anyone personally. As far as my retirement is concerned, so it’s my career, my choice,” he added in reply to Ramiz Raja’s criticism on him and Shoaib Malik.

It must be noted here that the cricketer-turned-commentator asked Hafeez and Malik to take retirement from international cricket to make room for upcoming cricketers.
