A tornado hit Pakistan’s cricket on Monday as two of the key members of Pakistan team management resigned from their posts just weeks before T20 World Cup.

Head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis exited from the team citing unclear reasons. Misbah said he was fed up with a hectic schedule amid COVID-19 circumstances followed by Waqar who only wanted to continue his job with him.

But, fans think the sudden resignation from both the former captains had a huge influence of the upcoming Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s chairman, Ramiz Raja. Hence, they criticized him for being the reason for sudden changes at the wrong time.

Ramiz was nominated alongside Asad Ali Khan for PCB chairmanship elections. PCB’s Board of Governors (BoG) will elect Ramiz officially as chairman on September 13.
