Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Firdous Ashiq Awan has shown her interest in coaching the female cricketers in the country.
While addressing a presser on the sidelines of an inauguration ceremony leading to Lahore Qalandars’ Women Player Development Programme, Awan said she had a deep interest in cricket during her school days.
“I used to play different sports during my school days and cricket was on top. Unfortunately, at that time facilities were not enough to train talented individuals,” she said.
“I keep good knowledge of cricket and I am ready to provide my coaching services to female cricketers in the country,” the Punjab government’s representative said.
Remember, Awan appeared as a cricket expert at PTV Sports during ICC World Cup 2019. Her appearance became a debate on the internet as she was serving as special assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on information at that time.
