Pakistan’s Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed said that they provided foolproof security to New Zealand’s cricket team which was even more than their country’s entire forces.
While talking to reporters on Monday, the interior minister reiterated that Pakistani forces made sure a safe stay of New Zealand in the country, however, it was their personal decision to withdraw from the tour without providing authentic proof of security threats.
“Pakistan gave security to NZ more than their country’s overall forces,” he shared. “We didn’t get any proof of security threats, neither from them nor from our agencies. Everything was good, I don’t know why they left citing security threats,” he maintained.
Rasheed is confident to provide foolproof security to England’s team if they come to Pakistan to play cricket. “I have said this before and again I am saying, we are ready to welcome England. Tight security will be provided to them too,” he concluded.
