Former Test cricketer Wasim Akram thinks that England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) should pay back to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) by sending their team for a short tour to the subcontinental country.

Speaking on SkySports, Akram said Pakistan with a big heart toured England in current circumstances as a goodwill gesture and now it is their turn to pay a visit back.

“I think England should now think of touring Pakistan and they should visit the country as a goodwill gesture,” he said. “Engish players had been there quite a few times and they completely enjoyed the hospitality. This may encourage ECB to send their team to Pakistan in near future,” he added.

Meanwhile, Akram is confident that if England tours Pakistan, they will be welcomed by the entire nation. “PCB will make every effort to bring England to Pakistan. If they tour Pakistan, I am sure every game will be a packed house,” he concluded.
