After Mehwish Hayat, Hamza Ali Abbasi has also advocated for the closure of all zoos in Pakistan for the sake of animals’ life.

Taking to Twitter, Abbasi shared his concern over animals being shut down in a cage for public entertainment. He urged authorities to look into this matter and requested people to raise voice for the closure of all zoos across the country.

“IHC rules that Zoos are concentration camps for nonhuman living beings. It’s True. Caging animals for public entertainment is Cruel & Evil. Pakistan has a chance to earn respect of the world & make God happy by freeing all the animals in captivity & close all zoos Please!” he wrote.

“If you agree, please be the voice for those who can’t speak for themselves and make this hashtag trend for as long as we can so maybe someone in the decision-making arena may listen especially after IHC ruling,” he added.

Earlier, Tv and Film actress Hayat also stressed that all Zoos in Pakistan should be closed to save animals.

“In a country where we’re still fighting for human rights, animal rights are a long way off. But come on, why do we only take action when foreign celebrities get involved? This is so embarrassing. Animals are born free- the authorities must shut these zoos now!” she wrote on social site.
