Atif Aslam responded to rumors regarding his refusal to Shahrukh Khan to sing a song for his Bollywood film ‘Dilwale‘.
Speaking to BBC Asian Network, Atif said he has never refused to work for Shahrukh’s film.
“No, no, there was nothing of the sort. His team got in touch with us and we recorded the song and sent it back but I don’t know what happened,” he recalled.
“Something happened that was not conveyed to him. Next thing I know, Shah Rukh Khan is saying Atif Aslam is too busy for my song,” he maintained.
“If Shah Rukh Khan sees this, I was not busy, I can never be busy for you! I’d love to sing for you anytime,” he concluded.
In 2015 while promoting his film Dilwale, Shahrukh disclosed that Atif refused to sing his film’s romantic anthem Gerua. “Arijit wasn’t our first choice for Gerua. But we went for him after Atif refused to sing it citing that he did not have time for me,” he had claimed.
