Shahid Afridi will play for Quetta Gladiators in his last PSL: PCB confirms

One of the superstar cricketers of Pakistan, Shahid Afridi will bid farewell to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and will play for Quetta Gladiators in his last season.

As released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Afridi has been traded to Gladiators in what will be his farewell PSL.

“I am excited to join Quetta Gladiators, a side that has had a roller-coaster ride in the past few events despite winning the title in 2019. In my final HBL PSL event, it will my dream and wish to sign off with another HBL PSL trophy after tasting success with Peshawar Zalmi in 2017,” he said in a statement shared by the PCB.

“HBL PSL is an event that encourages and inspires a player to give his very best. I will use the same motivation to help my team and put up performances that can help us achieve our event objectives,” he added.

In another surprising trade for the seventh season of the league, Iftikhar Ahmed goes to Gladiators and Azam Khan joins Islamabad United.

James Vince has been traded from Multan Sultans to Gladiators.
