Mohammad Amir is all set to join Pakistan’s squad in England after Haris Rauf tested COVID-19 positive for the fifth time.
Amir, who opted out of England tour due to attending the birth of his second child, will now join the squad after two negative COVID-19 tests. Amir went through the first test for the widely-spread virus on Monday whereas the second test will be taken on Wednesday once he tests negative for the first one. Rohail Nazir will be released from the squad as soon as Amir joins.

On the other hand, the PCB is also planning to send masseur Mohammad Imran to England on the request of team management. Imran also has to be tested COVID-19 negative twice in order to travel to England.
Meanwhile, the departure of Shoaib Malik to England has been delayed until the second week of August after India extended the ban on international flights until 31 July, which, in turn, has delayed a planned family reunion. When Shoaib Malik will join the squad for the T20I series, which starts on 28 August in Manchester, the team management will release a player.
