Pakistani social activist Malala Yousafzai has joined the elite list of graduates from the renowned University of Oxford in England.

Following the current prevailing COVID-19 across the world, Oxford came up with an idea of a virtual graduation ceremony, telecasted on Youtube Originals. The ceremony was attended by Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Shawn Mendes, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift. Former American President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama also joined the ceremony.

YouTube shared a 12-second clip of Malala from the special ceremonial. “Don’t be defined by what you lose in this crisis but by how you respond to it,” the 22-year-old said. “You have gained your education, now it’s time that you go out and use it for the betterment of the world. Congratulations to the class of 2020,” she added.

Malala was also a part of the popular lineup in YouTube original, Dear Class of 2020, joined by the fresh graduates and some popular faces across from the world.
