Middle-order batter Sohaib Maqsood has been ruled out from T20 World Cup after he caught serious back pain during the ongoing National T20 Cup.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on Saturday, shared that their medical chief Dr. Najib examined Sohaib’s back pain and he decided to give him rest following the condition. Sohaib was retained in the final national squad for the mega event that was announced on Friday with three changes.

Now, with Sohaib’s exclusion, Shoaib Malik’s chances have increased to join the team for the extravaganza. Malik has gained his form back in the National T20 Cup in Lahore.
