You thought you’d heard the last of The Legend of Maula Jatt’s success but the universe has other plans. The film is still going strong with its winning streak and is now reportedly the highest-grossing film from the Indian subcontinent at the UK box office in the past four years.

British film publication Screen Daily recently assessed the revenue and the statistics, which showed that Maula Jatt accumulated around Rs11.5 million on its fifth weekend, which is more than the Rs329 million of this year’s Indian title Ponniyan Selvan: I. According to the film’s official social media accounts, Maula Jatt has become the highest-grossing Punjabi film globally and has made Rs.1.7 billion at the worldwide box office within four weeks of its release.

It was previously announced that the film had crossed PKR 100 crores globally, and subsequently had earned a revenue of PKR 150 crore combined at the Pakistani and international box office. Another remarkable feat worth mentioning is how The Legend of Maula Jatt has taken over the spots of two super-hot Indian movies at the UK box office, namely RRR and Brahmastra. The latter had been maintaining the top spot at the box office since its release.
