Mohammad Amir disclosed that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s CEO Wasim Khan assured him to bridge the gap between him and the team management.
Speaking in an interview on the Youtube channel, Amir shared that the CEO visited his house in the UK where they had a detailed conversation regarding his retirement.
“Wasim Khan visited my house and gave too much respect to me,” Amir said. “He listened to all of my concerns and assured me to address them. If these differences are sorted down, I will make myself available for national team selection,” he asserted.
It is pertinent to mention here that Amir took an indefinite break from international cricket after disclosing differences with Misbah-ul-Haq-led national team management.
Meanwhile, Amir urged people to respect anyone’s personal decision. “In our culture, personal decisions are not respected. And, when you clarify it, people think you are giving just excuses,” he lamented.
Amir is currently representing Karachi Kings in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6. He will also play in The Hundred and Caribbean Premier League (CPL) later this year.
