Peshawar Zalmi, the winner of second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) has announced Global Zalmi League before third edition of the PSL next year. The decision is made after the success of Zalmi World Cup.
Zalmi Global League will feature 15 teams from five continent across the world. This event will not only give an international platform to the participating teams but cricket development programs for overseas Pakistani talent will also come with an incentive to perform well and get a chance to play and practice along Peshawar Zalmi Team. They will get a chance to bowl and bat with likes of Darren Sammy, Muhammad Hafeez and many other Zalmi Super Stars.
The PSL franchise aiming to increase the number of team of Global Zalmi up to 50 til next year.
Chairman Peshawar Zalmi, Mr. Javed Afridi believes that his Zalmi will go beyond the cricket and help to unite different nations under the umbrella of Global Zalmi. Afridi is of the opinion that sports diplomacy has enabled them to reach five regions of the world and around 30 teams, which are currently registered under Peshawar Zalmi.

“We have always highlighted the importance of sports diplomacy through Zalmi foundation. It will definitely help us to move forward and get our desired objectives of Global Zalmi to unite global cricketing community and promote peaceful image of Pakistan,” says Afridi. “We are hopeful that our vision of promoting young talent and peaceful image of Pakistan will flourish,” he adds.
