Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain assured that Pakistan Television (PTV) will turn HD completely in August while addressing in Parliament on Monday.
In his speech, Fawad said they are working towards the betterment of the national broadcast channel and results will be visible in near future. Moreover, the federal minister also announced to digitalize the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).

“PTV will become HD completely in the first week of August. APP will also become a digital channel that will represent Pakistan as a digital forum across the world,” he said.

Meanwhile, Fawad also shared that Radio Pakistan will also be digitalized with new programming settings to be implemented in August.
Earlier, Fawad invited social media apps like Facebook, YouTube, and Google to open offices in Pakistan. He emphasized the need for their offices in the country after realizing the lack of communication between Pakistanis and these apps. A lot of people in the country are earning through YouTube, Facebook, and Google but they often find no in-person representation of these companies here.
