Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy’s ‘Sitara: Let Girls Dream’ has become the first-ever Netflix original from Pakistan after being released on Tuesday.

‘Sitara’ is a 15-minute silent animated film that revolves around forced child marriages in Pakistan. The story highlights how a teenage girl is forced to get married in the country and more importantly the ratio of this sickening trend has increased up to 21 percent to date.

The film is about a girl named ‘Pari’ who wanted to become a pilot and earn a name for his family but his father fixed her marriage with a much older man. In last, her father finally realized that he was wrong and then encouraged his young daughter who later becomes a pilot.

It must be noted here that the film has been produced by SOC Films in collaboration with ARY Films and Waadi Animations.
