Asad Shafiq gets into hot water after failing to score in yet another inning despite a lot of expectations from him being the senior player.
Twitterati criticized the right-handed batsman after he departed for just 7 runs on day 2 of the opening test while leaving his team reeling at 150-4.
Here’s what people had to say on his recent form:

Asad Shafiq has been the biggest disappointment of the last decade. Man had so much potential.

My favorite quote on Asad shafiq will always be that he’s never out of form but he’s also never in form.

Some of the fans think that Asad should be replaced with Fawad Alam who is still waiting for the chance.
Alright, enough is enough. Bring in Fawad Alam in place of Asad Shafiq.

Can @TheRealPCB get rid of Asad Shafiq. Why not play Fawad instead of him. Wait he will score a mere 30 in second innings and Pakistan will still loose but he will keep his spot. Stupidity #PakvsEng

Some Twitter users urged Pakistan team management to get rid of Azhar Ali and Asad.
Misbah have to take big decision and leave Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali out of test side. Useless players @DennisCricket_#ENGvPAK

Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali were supposed to take up the responsibility after Misbah and Younis. Since then Azhar’s avg has dropped from 46.86 to 27.97. Asad has maintained 37-38 but needs to play bigger innings now. Both are missing a golden opportunity to shine in a senior role.

This tour of England marks 10 years since Azhar Ali & Asad Shafiq made their debuts for Pak.
While it is perfectly understandable to expect BIG things from Babar Azam but the onus should be on Azhar-Shafiq duo to lead Pak batting. They are not youngsters anymore #ENGvPAK

Remove both Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq from the team. There’s no merit in this Pakistani team except Babar Azam, Shan Masood, Shaheen Afridi, Muhammad Abbas, Shadab and Naseem Shah. Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq have been playing shit from a very long time. #PAKvENG
