Where every other celebrity is writing against Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, there comes Tv and film actress Veena Malik who not only supported ‘Mere Pas Tum Ho’ famed writer but also called Marvi Sirmed a ‘Gainda’.
Veena took to Twitter to react on the recent controversy related to a popular writer Qamar who abused Marvi, a feminist activist, for her views regarding ‘Aurat March’ and ‘Mera Jism Meri Marzi’ slogan.
She wrote “Jo log shor macha rahay hain ke Khalil Sahab ne aurat ki tazheek kardi, wo zara ghor se Marvi Sirmed ko dekhiye. Kya inhe aurat or gainday men koi faraq nazar nahi aata? Acha sorry. (The people who are making noise about Khalil sahib having demeaned a woman, kindly look at Marvi Sirmed. Can they not see the difference between a rhino and a woman? Okay, sorry).”
Following the choice of her words in a Tweet, people started criticizing Veena for body-shaming Marvi. In response, she tweeted once again and this time bashed those who were defending Marvi. “Saaray beghairat, behaya, aurat ke haq men nikal aaey (all the shameless people are out to defend a woman,” she wrote.
