The captain of Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League (PSL), Sarfaraz Ahmed has told that when he plays, the Karachiites support Quetta. Ahmed, who led Gladiators to the finals in both the editions of PSL, has also wished to win the final of season III in front of ‘home crowd’ in Karachi.

“All teams are doing their workout for the upcoming season and creating hype on social media,” shared Ahmed while talking to the press during Quetta Gladiators’ promotional activity at a mall in Karachi. “I am glad to be here and loved the response of fans because when I play, Karachi supports us, in fact, whole Pakistan support us,” he added.

The captain who led Pakistan to lift the Champions Trophy last year, called it a pleasant step to organize PSL final in Karachi and said that whoever reach to the final, they will enjoy the crowd. “It is indeed a pleasant step to restore cricket in Karachi. If we succeed to reach to the final again, we will try to win it infront of our home crowd.”

The coach of Quetta Gladiators, Moin Khan also wished to play the final in Karachi and praised Pakistan Cricket Board for taking the step. “I hope the reconstruction will be completed before time and as a Quetta Gladiators coach, I wish to play the final here and win it this time.”

Earlier, the ICC security consultant Reg Dickason visited Karachi to monitor full dress security rehearsal for the PSL final at National Stadium. “We would like to thank the PCB for providing us with such a comprehensive, thorough and professional presentation,” Dickason said. “It is very encouraging, and that will be reflected in the upcoming report. We have some things we need to discuss, however, it’s all extremely positive. From what we’ve seen today, and what’s been demonstrated, and the documentation and the level of commitment by all concerned parties has left me very, very satisfied.”
