As many as one lac cars, as per local reports, got struck in Murree amid heavy snowfall on Friday and Saturday.
Local authorities failed to start rescue operations due to bad weather and it left more than a dozen people dead in the cars. According to local authorities, people had to sleep in their cars on Friday night with heaters turned on. Due to Carbon Monoxide spread in the cars, people were left dead including women and children.
The incident left Pakistan in extreme pain including several celebrities who sent prayers for the people in danger. Saba Qamar, Faisal Qureshi, Meesha Shafi, and many other public figures mourned the losses.
