Rising COVID-19 cases may reduce crowd during PSL 7: Reports

Sindh Government has indicated towards reducing number of spectators during Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 7’s first phase in Karachi.

The mega event is all set to start on January 27 at National Stadium Karachi. National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) had already allowed full crowd during the extravaganza.

But, Sindh Government has shown concerns following the rising number of COVID-19 ‘Omicron variant’ cases in the metropolis. The officials of the provincial government will suggest NCOC reduce the crowd in Karachi for PSL 7.

However, NCOC is due to meet to make final decision on this matter. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has optimistic to host full crowd in both venues of PSL 7. Tickets sale for first seven matches had already started.
