Abu Aleeha’s directorial ‘Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer’, featuring Yasir Hussain in lead role, has been postponed till January next year.

According to Yasir’s statement given to Express Tribune, the film, which was set to release on December 24, has been delayed till January as the makers didn’t get green signal from the Islamabad censor board.

“We couldn’t really promote the film because we are still awaiting the film to be cleared by the Islamabad censor board,” he was quoted saying. “So, we have to delay the release till January, so we can do promotions in full-swing, followed by the film hitting the cinemas,” he maintained.

It must be noted here that many objections were held on ‘Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer’ as it features the story of Pakistan’s most notorious serial killer Javed Iqbal.
