‘We’ll receive blank cheque tomorrow’ tells Ramiz Raja

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s chairman Ramiz Raja shared that they will receive a blank cheque tomorrow from a Karachi businessman as promised on Pakistan’s victory against India in T20 World Cup 2021.

Speaking for the first time to Karachi’s sports journalists as PCB chairman, Ramiz said they will be receiving a promised blank cheque tomorrow and the money will be utilized for cricket in the country.

“We will receive a blank check tomorrow which was promised on Pakistan’s victory,” said Ramiz who is in Karachi for an official visit.

Earlier, the PCB chairman announced two drop-in pitches to be installed in Karachi and Lahore in collaboration with Arif Habib Group.

In connection with the announcement, Ramiz paid a visit to Naya Nazimabad Cricket Stadium where one of the two pitches will be installed.

“It was my longest dream of bringing drop-in pitches to Pakistan. I am glad to have Arif Habib and his team on board for this venture,” he said.

“It is a long process and will take time. It needs proper planning and implementation, so we will sit and plan accordingly,” he concluded.
