The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has landed in hot water after they were issued a notice by Lahore High Court (LHC) in PSL financial model case.

According to the details, all franchises filed a lawsuit against the cricket board’s financial model for PSL. Owners of six teams think that PSL is benefitting more to the cricket board whereas they are running losses every season.

LHC has directed the cricket board to submit its response by September 30. The court has also barred the PCB from taking financial guarantees from franchises for PSL 6.

In the petition, the franchises urged the court to make sure that PCB addresses the grievances of all franchises and revises the financial model of PSL in accordance with its statutory mandate and make it equally profitable.

Meanwhile, PCB has offered franchises to solve this issue within the house through dialogues. “It is disappointing to see franchises approaching the court for this issue. We can solve this issue within the house which will not affect the stature of our league,” PCB said in a statement.
