‘Painful to see my family being grilled to distract from real issue’ Meesha

Meesha Shafi expressed her feelings after her mother and Pakistani veteran actor Saba Hamid was reportedly grilled in the court upon her appearance in the Ali-Meesha defamation case.

In a Tweet, Meesha wrote it was painful to see her mother and brother being dragged with deliberately triggering lines of questioning.

“Very painful day. The opp council attempted to humiliate my mother in court by attacking my respected grandfather (may his soul RIP) and then my brother’s brilliant art. Both men far above the lack of stature needed for this sort of moral deprivation. The lawyer apologized,” she wrote.

“Seeing my family, which is full of public figures, and especially my mother, being attacked with these irrelevant, baseless, deliberately triggering lines of questioning just to distract from the real issue is exactly the reason why victims stay quiet,” she added.
