Former Test cricketer Shoaib Akhtar opined to organize India-Pakistan fund-raising cricket series to help both countries accelerate COVID-19 relief efforts.
Speaking on his Youtube Channel, Akhtar said that both India and Pakistan desperately need funds to combat COVID-19. He thinks that a cricket event between arch-rivals India and Pakistan will not only entertain fans in quarantine at home but also to raise funds for COVID-19 relief efforts.
“It is time to stand for each other by extending help according to your strength. If Pakistan vs India cricket match takes place, it will break all records of viewership as everybody is at home and want some entertainment and I think nothing is more entertaining than Indo-Pak contest,” Akhtar said.
Shoaib Akhtar proposed the idea of Pakistan vs India matches to raise funds for the people of Pakistan and India, what do you think?

“It can also be helpful in raising funds for both countries. We all should think above religion and personal benefits and wherever you reside, try to help people in need,” he added.
It must be noted here that Pakistan and India haven’t played a bilateral series since 2012-13. They only locked horns in ICC and Asian events.
