Defence Day is always celebrated with velour and passion in this country. While Pakistanis are always lauding the efforts of the Army, this specific day is dedicated to remembering all the martyred soldiers and their contributions in keeping the country safe. This time around, the Defence and Martyrs Day was celebrated as the Kashmir Solidarity Day to reaffirm support of Pakistan for the oppressed people of Kashmir.
Keeping the spirit alive, celebrities also paid tributes to martyrs and the army in their own ways on social media. Atif Aslam and Shahid Afridi visited homes and met families of the martyrs as a compassionate gesture.
Actors Bilal Abbas Khan and Muneeb Butt posted pictures of themselves donned in patriotic attire.
Imran Ashraf, Danish Taimoor, Sana Javed, and Faysal Qureshi posted complementing visuals.
Neelam Muneer expressed how proud she is to be a Pakistani, while Tuba Aamir posted a picture of herself with a helicopter backdrop and a Quranic verse to go with her appreciation for the martyrs.
Mikaal Zulfiqar posted a selfie with the Pakistani flag hoisted behind him.
The day, however, coincided with actor Abid Ali’s passing away, and most celebrities ended up remembering him on the social media and offering their condolences.
