Pakistani women have been breaking stereotypes for a long period now. In a recent update, KPK’s Rafia Qaseem Baig, 29, has been selected to become the first Pakistani and Asian woman to join Bomb Disposal Squad (BDU) and defuse bombs.
Baig has already started her 15 days training with 31 male cadets at Police School of Explosive Handling. Talking to media, she recalled an incident of bomb blast that happened near a court and motivated her to join force.
She had joined Police force seven years ago when she was just 21 years old and since then, this inspiring lady has done Masters in Economics and International Affairs. She is currently enrolled in Bachelors of Law Programme.
