Razzaq’s KPK creates history, bags three titles in single domestic season

Abdul Razzaq united his team Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and led them to all three first XI tournaments’ titles this domestic season.

KPK has become the only team in history to win tournaments of all three formats in a single Pakistan’s domestic season.

Khalid Usman-led KPK beat Central Punjab (CP) by seven wickets to win Pakistan Cup’s final on Sunday at State Bank Ground. Earlier, they beat Southern Punjab (SP) in National T20 Cup’s final whereas held drew against CP at National Stadium in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy’s final and named as joint champions.

Winning side KPK bagged prize purse of PKR5 Million whereas as runners-up CP received prize money, PKR2.5 Million. Tayyab Tahir of CP named the best batsman, KPK’s Asif Afridi declared the best bowler, Hammad Azam named the best player, and Azam Khan named best wicket-keeper of the tournament. All individual performers received a prize bag containing PKR250,000.
