Mehwish Hayat bashed Indian media for accusing her of being in a relationship with Indian gangster Dawood Ibrahim.
Taking to Twitter, Mehwish replied to Indian reports which claimed that the actress is in a relationship with Dawood who influenced high-ups in governing party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to honor her with ‘Tamgha-i-Imtiaz’ last year.
“I will not give credence to the unfounded accusations being made about me in some Indian media by issuing a statement. I know exactly what their agenda is & why they’re doing this. All I will say to them is that this kind of gutter journalism will not shut me up,” she wrote.

Adding on, she said such reports would not stop her raising voice for Kashmiris. Meanwhile, she suggested Indian media to link her name next time with American actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
“I will continue to highlight their atrocities in Kashmir and to call out Bollywood for its hypocrisy. Oh BTW next time if you want to link my name with someone, may I suggest Leonardo DiCaprio.”
