Bollywood film director Karan Johar, who casted Pakistani super star Fawad Khan in his film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, earlier said that he was scared of expressing his opinion freely after his film caught controversies. “I’m a liberal. In a headspace, that is extremely progressive about many things. But I just feel like I can’t say anything. I feel like I’ve joined the herd mentality of the silent society,” said Karan, who had been under threats from Indian extremist outfits for casting Fawad Khan and Imran Abbas in his movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
