Wasim Akram – the first bowler to take four hat-tricks in cricket, the first bowler to take 400 wickets in test matches, the first bowler to take 500 ODI wickets – has collaborated with Junaid Jamshed’s J. Fragrances to celebrate his fiftieth birthday. The Swing Ka Sultan and J. Fragrances have launched Wasim Akram 414 perfume, the Scent of Sultan, in a star studded event in Karachi.
The event was attended by a large number of celebrities including chief selector Inzimam ul Haq, former players Ramiz Raja, Aijaz Ahmed and Moin Khan, current stars Ahmed Shahzad and Irfan Khan and Indian commentator Harshe Bhogle from cricket world while Salman Ahmed, Shahi Syed, Ayesha Omer, Frieha Altaf, Bushra Ansari, Junaid Khan, and others represented showbiz industry.
Some of the great names in cricket including little master Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Shane Warne, Shahid Afridi, Imran Khan, Younis Khan and other sent video messages for Wasim on his golden jubilee, which were also played during the event.
Whereas, the highlight of the event was when audience joined Ramiz Raja, Harshe Bhogle and Wasim’s better half Shaniera Akram to wish Swing Ka Sultan his fiftieth birthday and sing Happy Birthday song.
The show ended with the power-packed performance by Junaid Jamshed singing Dil Dil Pakistan, which was later joined on stage by Abrar ul Haq, Shahid Syed, Salman Ahmed and journalist Waseem Badami.
