Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee headed by the former cricket great Inzamam ul Haq announced 16-member squad for upcoming test series against Ireland and England earlier today. The ‘consistent’ Fawad Alam was once again ignored by the committee, which sparked big debate on social media. The cricket fans are super angry on the decision and some of them are even planning a protest in support of Alam.
Moments after PCB announced the final squad for upcoming test series, a Facebook page PSL Memes created an event ‘Justice For Fawad Alam‘ to call protest against the selection committee. The protest call became viral within few minutes as hundreds of cricket fans showed their interest.
Fans are upset not just on the non-selection of Fawad Alam, but also on the inclusion of Inzamam ul Haq’s nephew Imam ul Haq and Haris Sohail.
Imam ul Haq whose FC batting average is 34 and haven't played a single Test match is included in the squad but Fawad Alam is ignored. I urge Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice.#JusticeForFawad #GoInzamamGo https://t.co/c35hsOUsvu

This guy needs a reason and why not?
Either the fans and experts are too stupid or the management is way too smart. How can they ignore a class act like @iamfawadalam25 for so long without having a solid reason? Peak of injustice! #JusticeForFawadAlam
