The unstoppable British- Pakistani motorsport champion Enaam Ahmed is back on the race track, gearing up for the INDY NXT, the final frontier before the top level of open-wheel competition in the United States, the IndyCar! After winning the 2022 Team Championship and finishing 3rd in the Drivers Championship at the Indy Pro 2000 last year, Ahmed is determined to put the pedal to the metal and bag another win as his unwavering drive for the podium grows stronger. Racing under the Pakistani flag yet again, his performance during testing is already showing promise as he reaches new heights by setting new track records.
Enaam Ahmed, the most exciting young racer of today, recently set the fastest time at the Miami Homestead speedway during testing in the USA on the 23rd of January 2023. Driving the Cape Motorsports-entered Dallara Indy NXT car, Enaam set the track on fire throughout the day in Florida. In preparation for the INDY NXT, the maverick racer has spent his time training vigorously while representing Pakistan on international platforms.
Making Pakistan proud, Enaam Ahmed has already won several titles throughout his career including British Formula 3 Championship, World Karting Championship, and European Karting Championship. At the mere age of 14, Enaam broke records and became the World and European Karting champion. Later at the age of 17, He became the youngest-ever British F3 champion in 2017. Enaam dominated the 2017 campaign, picking up 13 wins, 18 podiums, 13 fastest laps, and eight pole positions in just 24 races, wrapping up the title with three races to spare. He accrued the most points (654) and the biggest winning margin (164) in British F3 history beating the win record of one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time, the legend that is Ayrton Senna. Enaam has further competed in 8 championships, where he has attained 28 wins and bagged over 57 podium finishes.
Now the motorsport champion is returning to the race track at the 2023 Indy NXT, starting March 3rd weekend in St. Petersburg, Florida. Drivers in the INDY NXT will compete not only on ovals but also on purpose-built race tracks and street courses. The first official race will be taking place at the Firestone Grand Prix of St.Petersburg on the 5th of March 2023 at 12pm EST.
