Former South Africa captain Faf Du Plessis has joined Peshawar Zalmi for Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5’s knock-out stage.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed squads of all four teams who will take part in the last stage of PSL 5. Du Plessis joined 21 other foreign cricketers who have confirmed their participation in the event’s closing from November 14 to 17 in Karachi.
The veteran of 232 T20s, Du Plessis will be making his first appearance in Pakistan’s premium cricket tournament. The right-handed batsman will replace Kieron Pollard in Zalmi’s squad.

Apart from Du Plessis, Cameron Delport (Karachi Kings), Dane Vilas, David Wiese (both Lahore Qalandars), Rilee Rossouw, Imran Tahir (both Multan Sultans) and Hardus Viljoen (Peshawar Zalmi), Alex Hales (Karachi Kings) and James Vince (Multan Sultans), Tamim Iqbal (Lahore Qalandars), Mahmudullah (Multan Sultans) have also confirmed their participation in final phase of the tournament.
