Meesha Shafi and her seven companions were failed to prove a sexual harassment case against singer cum actor Ali Zafar, Lahore Sessions Court said on Wednesday.
Judicial Magistrate Zulfiqar Bari heard the ‘smear campaign’ case filed by the singer in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)’s cybercrime Lahore wing.

“During the course of investigation so far Meera Shafi alias Meesha Shafi, Iffat Omar, Maham Javaid, Leena Ghani, Haseemus Zaman, Fariha Ayub, Syed Faizan Raza, Humna Raza and Ali Gul Pir have been found guilty in this case as per available oral and documentary evidences. However, the complainant recorded his statement in favour of Hamna Raza to the extent of accepting her apology, thus she is not required in the investigation furthermore,” read the charge-sheet.
The court has sent legal notices to Meesha and seven others asking them to respond by the next hearing, scheduled for January 18.
Earlier, FIA, in their investigation following Ali’s First Information Report (FIR), found Meesha Shafi guilty of running a defamation campaign against the actor.
It must be noted here that Meesha, on April 19, 2018, Meesha accused Ali of harassing her during a project. The singer filed an FIR against Teefa In Trouble actor. In November 2018, Ali rejected all the allegations and claimed that a number of fake accounts are involved in running the #MeToo campaign against him on different social platforms.
