Shahroz Sabzwari thinks that Aurat March reduced the importance of the Metoo movement which highly benefitted women in the country.
Speaking in ARY News’ show ‘Har Lamha Purjosh‘, Shahroz said vulgarity in Aurat March led down Metoo movement which gave women a platform to speak up.
“I think Metoo movement gave ample opportunities to women to speak up against injustice. But, Aurat March led it down as you have seen the standard of placards and all,” he said.
“For me, Metoo movement has been benefitting women since its inception but Aurat March has a lot more disadvantages because of promoting vulgarity,” he added.
Shahroz once again defended his wife Sadaf Kanwal’s stance on women’s responsibility after marriage. “Sadaf said this because it is our home’s environment. She didn’t force anyone to accept her narrative. If you liked it, it’s ok, if you don’t, then you should move on instead of criticizing her,” he concluded.
